Perfumery Workshop

Join us for a hands-on workshop and create your own vegan perfume balm with Alchemy.

Centuries before alcohol-based perfumes were a possibility, people scented themselves and their spaces with balms, salves, unguents, potpourri and pastilles... in this workshop we well touch on the history of fragrant adornment and create a solid perfume balm (vegan).

In the workshop we will

Learn the fundamentals of fragrance design

Develop richer storytelling and vocabulary around scent

Get a brief overview of perfume history 

Discover the shared techniques and overlaps with aromatherapy and herbalism

Have hands- on (nose-on) experience of fragrance formulation

Attendees will create and take home their own vegan perfume balm 

And leave with Resources for 'where to go next' 

The workshop will be two hours and participants will

Create their own 1/2 oz tin of a proper natural perfume

Mini Bio: 

For twenty years Monique has been using the aromatics from plants to create functional skincare and perfumes. First for herself, and now for Alchemy Slow Living Studio. Monique is the owner, esthetician and formulator at Alchemy in Ferndale, making Beauty for Busy Spirits.
